After downloading that awesome sound file for Red Baron II what do you do with it and where do you place it?
3.0 INSTALLING SOUND FILES
Now go to
start....programs...windows explorer. As in the example below
Click on Windows Explorer......Click on (C:) + sign to expand the
tree...Click on Downloads to open...then find your file on the right hand
side of the window. Once found double click on it to open. In this case a
zipped file. At this point you can virus scan the file before you open it.
Now you will see a window for winzip pop up like the example below
Click agree
Now click next
At this point you can let Winzip unzip it in a folder Winzip creates by
default called unzipped or you can type in the directory where you want to
place the unzipped file. In our case it will be c:\Sierra\RedBaronII\Simpatch.
Click Unzip Now. If you want to view the files first and or read
the readme.txt, unzip it in the "unzipped" folder. After unzipping and
installing the file you can save the zipped file you downloaded to a floppy
or a zip disk then delete it from your hard drive if you wish. All
downloaded files are handled in the same manner saving to disk, unzipping
and installing.
